Salukis are sighthounds that have been used for hunting in the regions of origin in the Middle East and Central Asia for several thousand years. The Saluki types varied depending on terrain, culture and hunting traditions. During the hundred years and plus since the Saluki came to stay in the West, it has been kept primarily as a pet but also for other activities. Has the Saluki changed during this time? That and more is to think about.©Dar el Hindiya/Gerd Andersson
